It is an MN.IT requirement that all devices attached to the video VPN be registered with and certified by MN.IT. This means that it is not acceptable to attach computers or other video systems to the same (layer 3) network as the registered video systems.
The reason is that use of such devices can cause interference with video calls, voice calls, and enterprise real time data applications.
Computers and other video systems should instead be attached to the regular data networks at the site. In some cases, MN.IT can work with the customer to identify this traffic as Enterprise Real Time Data traffic.
